The English Language Institute (ELI) has more than 50 years’ experience in offering programs and activities for students from all over the world who are studying English as an additional language.
During the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic and the close of the Canadian borders the ELI developed online versions of their popular programs:
The Programs have the same curriculum and teaching approach as the on-campus version, providing opportunityies to interact with instructors and receive personalized feedback. The online programs allow students to join their classmates in virtual classrooms, work together on group activities and gain the confidence needed to succeed in an academic environment.
As part of this push to compete in the online market and attract international remote students, essential was the production of three promotional videos to support the marketing campaign: two specific for each program, and one more general about the ELI online offering and programs.
One particular challenge was that the campus was closed due to the pandemic, making filming impossible and limiting resources to photos, Zoom recordings, and ample use of custom motion graphics design.
